Dear Michael,
I’m out of the office right now but after speaking with Mitch this
AM, we want you to know how Bergen Family Center is right there with you
offering assistance to Katrina victims.
Mitch has already reached out to local clergymen and we have already addressed
questions of providing our Leonard Johnson pre-school program to displaced
families. Mitch contacted The Record to explain about the United Way 211
call system of which we are a lead agency. As you are aware, we not only
can work to provide care for the children, but our Senior Day Care center
is equipped for the frail elderly and visually impaired. Furthermore,
our Case Mgr. Program can provide home service assistance to elderly and
families once they have a place to stay. Have you looked into the Radisson/Crown
Plaza?
Please contact Mitch directly so that he might assist in coordinating
local efforts. As you may be aware, we not only have the after school
program but also the Englewood Teen Health Coalition. Our clinical counseling
programs can be available to all. As you see, there isn’t a portion
of the age spectrum not covered by Bergen Family Center. Mitch’s
cell is 201-233-8255; office is 201-342-9200, X17.
You know how willing we are to continue serving the Englewood community
as we’ve done for 107 years!
Sincerely yours,
Mibs Wagner
