| Bergen Family Center Honors Mayor
Rockleigh , New Jersey - The Bergen Family Center honored Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes for his support and dedication to the Center's educational programs and families the Center serves. The honor was presented on November 9, 2004 at the Bergen Family Center's Annual Dinner & Silent Auction at the Rockleigh Country Club in Rockleigh, New Jersey. At the same event, The Bergen Center also honored Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Korean Community Church , and John Hughes, who received the Bruce LeSala Community Award. The Bergen Family Center , founded in 1898, is Bergen County 's oldest continuously operating family service agency. Its mission is to support, strengthen and enrich family life through innovative programs and quality services. The Center offers multiple educational and recreational programs for children, maintains clinical and counseling services for those in times of need, and helps the frail elderly to remain part of the community with a Senior Adult Day Center. Mayor Wildes has made education and Englewood's youth one of the top priorities of his administration. The Center's recognition of his efforts in this area contributed to his selection for this honor. He has been affiliated with The Bergen Family Center for several years. Concerning the award, Mayor Wildes state ," It has been a privilege to work with the dedicated and talented staff of the Bergen Family Center. Their good work is appreciated by hundreds of families every day. I am deeply touched by this honor."
