Janis E. Dismus Students

Mayor Wildes visited Janis E. Dismus Middle School last week and was welcomed with an enthusiastic reception of a student of body of nearly 300. Mayor Wildes spoke to the students about the AVID Club (Advancement Via Individual Determination Club), a club that helps students achieve a higher education by laying the foundation of attending a university through advanced courses. The AVID Club also participates in community service.
