70th Anniversary of Israel's Red Cross
CLICK HERE: Thank You Letter from American Friends of Magen David Adom Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes hosted a reception in honor of Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel's Red Cross, to commemorate the 70 years of support MDA has provided to Israeli civilians. The event's featured speaker, the Honorable Deputy Consul General of Israel, Benjamin Krasna, recounted his first encounters with MDA and how the program has shaped not only his life but Israel 's emergency response system. Mayor Wildes presented Krasna with a key to the city in order to show his gratitude for the impressive number of MDA donations and volunteers that have come and continue to come out of New Jersey.
I am extremely proud to be hosting an event that honors Magen David Adom and the generations of New Jersey families who have pledged their allegiance to supporting Israel 's Red Cross, said Wildes.
Magen David Adom has touched me both personally and professionally. A Palestinian man specifically came to me because I was a Jewish immigration lawyer something that rarely ever happens to show his appreciation for MDA. He told me MDA responded to his medical emergency, despite his religion and the conflict that continues to separate the Middle East , with the utmost speed and professionalism.
Plaques were given to the American families who donated enough money over the years to provide MDA with new ambulances and a desert reception followed.
Celebrate 70 years of support from American Friends of Magen David Adom (ARMDI) for MDA in Israel
