Senator Jack Reed (D-RI)

Mayor Wildes welcomed Democratic Senator Jack Reed from Rhode Island to Englewood last week. Senator Reed Reed is a senior member of the Armed Services Committee and a former Army Ranger. In 2006, Time magazine noted: "Reed is a serious, intellectually honest veteran and an expert on defense issues in the Senate."

Mayor Wildes was briefed on recent international matters and concerns at a private reception.

NORPAC hosted Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) in Englewood on February 24 at the home of NORPAC President Ben and Esther Chouake. The event was chaired by NORPAC board member Moshael Straus. Senator Reed is a graduate of West Point, Harvard Law School, and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. Senator Reed also sits on the Appriations and Armed Services committees and is running for his third term.
