RE: Special Planning Board Hearing (Open to the Public)

Please be advised that on Monday, January 30th, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at the Educational Center Auditorium of the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center--at my request, a special meeting of the Englewood Planning Board will be convened to discuss several significant zoning matters including: Planning and Board of Adjustment Member Continuing Education; Potential Hospital Zone; Reduction of Town Houses (ratio per acre); Board Procedures including filing; timing; and adjudication requirements; Effects of the growing presence of Banks in our city; Compliance and Enforcement of Planning Board and Board of Adjustment resolutions; Impact Assessment of recent development and infrastructure needs; Traffic and Parking Study (Central Business District); Affordable Housing Study (COAH); South Dean Street Area; Revisit Density and Height Limits in the RM-A Zone; Discussion and Review of Lincoln School and Liberty School Properties.

As we welcome new businesses to Englewood, explore requested variances, and endeavor to create new ratables (to lower the property tax burden on homeowners)--it is vital that we maintain our city’s residential character and the integrity of our Master Plan. The investments approved to date need to be continually reviewed to ensure our future vitality. Your presence and input would be most appreciated.
