Subject: Viable parking alternatives to Municipal Lot A
Starting today, February 7, 2005 Municipal Lot “A” will be closed to allow construction of a parking garage. Unfortunately you will be displaced during the project.
The following are some viable parking lot alternatives that are available for your consideration and use: Mackay Park Ice Skating Arena Parking Lot off of Englewood Ave. 45 spaces Mackay Park Gate House Parking Lot off of Englewood Ave.- 24 spaces Municipal Parking Lot “K” on S. Van Brunt St. across from the Police Station – 60 spaces Little League Parking Lot at Durie Ave. and Pindle Ave.- 139 spaces
ALL OF THE ABOVE SPACES ARE AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS ONLY UNTIL THE PARKING LOT IS FULL.
Additionally Acting Deputy Chief Banta has declared a parking enforcement moratorium on South Van Brunt St. from Englewood Ave. to West Linden Ave. to allow parking on both sides of the street. This should add at least 20 spaces.
As always there is on –street parking available near the business district. Three areas for your considerations are: South Dean St. from Englewood Ave. to West Forest Ave. Englewood Ave. from South Dean Street to Elmore Ave. East Palisade Ave. east of Grand Ave. / Engle St. (east of the parking meters)
** PARKING ENFORCEMENT WILL CONTINUE CONCERNING BLOCKED FIRE HYDRANTS, DRIVEWAYS, SIDEWALKS AND HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES.
